It all started when…
Laura began her practice 20 years ago when she was a NCAA division 2 cross country runner for Wingate University. Since then she has found yoga to be an ideal workout through various life stages; as an athlete looking for increased flexibility and strength, as a corporate professional looking for a total body workout and stress relief, as a mother-to-be looking for a gentle, relaxing work out during pregnancy and as a busy mother looking for a complete mind, body, and spirit exercise experience. Laura has a B.S. degree in Sports Medicine where she studied anatomy, exercise physiology, athletic training, and kinesiology.
Laura received her yoga teacher training through YogaFit, the largest yoga fitness education school in the world. She is a host for the YogaFit teacher training program. She began the Clarksburg Village Community Yoga program in Clarksburg, Maryland in 2011 and has been teaching yoga at Atlantic Coast Athletic Club (ACAC) in Germantown, MD since 2018. Laura teaches private and semi-private yoga classes upon request. She leads monthly Mindful Yoga Hikes at various parks throughout MD/DC/VA. She also enjoys teaching unique and fun yoga classes like Yoga & Art, Goat Yoga, Beer Yoga, Yoga for Athletes, Yoga Parties and Corporate team-building events designed around mindfulness and yoga!
Laura lives in Clarksburg, MD with her husband and 3 children. She loves to explore the Ashtanga yoga method in her personal practice. Laura is a native Marylander and an outdoor enthusiast, who enjoys hiking, running, reading, and traveling to the Eastern Shore for boating and fishing with her family.

She is a host for the YogaFit teacher training program, hosting YogaFit teacher training quarterly at Tusculum Farm in Laytonsville, MD. YogaFit Level 1 Teacher Training coming Nov 17-18, 2018 and Principles of Anatomy and Alignment for Yoga Teachers coming Winter 2019.
